China plans to build an 100% Internet City by 2020

China has announced plans to build an 100% Internet City by 2020. The project, which is part of China's "One Belt, One Road" and "Internet Plus" development strategies, will involve a total investment of 100 billion RMB (14 billion euro). Through integration of 5G networks and super fast broadband infrastructure, the Internet City will be able to incorporate the most advanced technologies available worldwide, such as augmented reality, artificial intelligence, robotics and drones, 3D printers, self-driving cars, Internet of things applications, big data analytics, data mining and cloud computing services.
