Cisco announces support of US federal privacy law

Following other large tech companies, Cisco announced its support to an US federal privacy law that would allow a single set of rules to govern how companies protect user data. According to Arstechnica, the recent support of major tech companies to the establishment of a federal framework partly results  from the pressure at state level (California, Washington, and Massachusetts).
