COVID-19 videos on YouTube contain misleading information

Le 14 mai 2023 Hi-network.com

A recent study suggests that around 25% of the most-viewed coronavirus videos on YouTube contain misleading information. The study analysed the most widely viewed coronavirus-related videos in English up to the ends of March. Overall, the misleading videos had been viewed more than 62 million times. The investigation also suggests that there is good quality information uploaded on YouTube as well, mostly coming from government bodies and health experts. However, the videos were often less appealing compared to other content on the platform and difficult to understand.
