The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Madras is developing a new platform to tackle e-waste by linking stakeholders in the formal and informal economy. The platform will serve as an online marketplace for e-waste and facilitate a formal supply chain between various stakeholders. According to IIT-Madras researchers, the model can potentially open doors to a$50 billion economy.
