Israeli spyware firm QuaDream shutting operations

Apr, 18, 2023 Hi-network.com

Israeli daily Calcalist has reported that Israeli spyware company QuaDream is closing its operations and has let go of all its employees. The board is believed to be trying to sell the company's intellectual property. However, the company has neither confirmed nor reacted to the news.

QuaDream has been in the spotlight after a recent Citizen Lab report claimed that the company's malware,Reign, was being used as a surveillance tool in North America, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Victims include journalists, political opposition figures, and one NGO worker. The malware was deployed by a suspected iOS 14 zero-click exploit, dubbedENDOFDAYS, which can send invisible iCloud calendar invites from operators to users.
