Spending on cloud computing infrastructures to increase in 2016

The International Data Centreestimates that the total spending on IT infrastructure products for deployment in cloud environments will increase by 18.9% in 2016, to a total of 38.2 billion USD. Spending on public cloud infrastructure will grow by 14.1%, to 24.4 billion USD, while spending on private cloud infrastructure will be up 11.1%, to 13.9 billion USD. Such investments are expected to grow across all regions of the world. In the long-run, cloud infrastructure spending is expected to grow at a 12.5% annual growth rate over the next five years.
