Tata Consultancy services has been contracted by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to upgrade the country's e-government services. Dubbed Passport Seva Program (PSP-V2.0), the contract will see Tata upgrade technology and enhance interoperability among passport service offices as well as post offices that are used in passport distribution. It will also enhance security and make it more convenient to submit biometric and biometric data when seeking passport services. The programme will also connect 176 Indian missions abroad through the Global Passport Seva Programme (GPSP).
