US senators to seek answer from Amazon CEO over Alexa privacy concerns

A US Senator, from the Democratic party, and member of the judiciary committee, sent aletter to Amazon regarding the company's privacy practices. In the midst of a controversy of the data retained by Alexa, the smart home assistant, the Senator asked whether Amazon is indefinitely storing the text transcripts of voice recordings of people talking this device.
