Whatsapp informs Irish data protection authority about vulnerability

Whatsapp hascommunicated to the Irish data protection authority the discovery of a serious security vulnerability on its platform, which could have affected users in the EU. The breach was discovered recently by privacy activists, after hackers used software exploiting this vulnerability to intercept their communications.
