The All India Vendors Association, representing more than 2,000 online sellers distributing their goods through Amazon has filed an antitrust case against Amazon in India. The sellers claim that Amazon favours certain retailers, such as Cloudtail -Amazon's own joint venture allowing them to provide discounts to eliminate independent vendors. The antitrust filing, as reported by Reuters states that Amazon uses complex business structures to bypass legal restrictions and engages in anti-competitive agreements. Amazon was previously investigated for antitrust behaviour in India for the same reasons.
