China fines several news portals for violating Internet regulations

China's Cyberspace Administration has fined a number of news websites that have allegedly gone against the country's Internet publication rules. According to the Internet regulator, the websites have engaged in 'actions that seriously violated regulations and had a completely vile effect.' Some sources claim that several pages of the websites have been shut down entirely.
