Europe's largest copper and largest copper recycling company, Aurubis, was hit by a cyberattack that is believed to be part of wider attacks on the metals and mining industries. The company stated that numerous systems had to be shut down for preventive measures. The company is working with investigative authorities to address the effects of the attacks, with its main goal to keep production running. Aurubis stated that is unable to provide any further information until the systems are fully functional.
