Cyprus joins the updated legal framework on automatic processing of personal data

Cyprus signed the Protocol amending the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to the automatic processing of personal data (CETS No. 223), providing multilateral legal framework that facilitates the flow of data across borders while also providing effective safeguards when personal data are being used.
