Facebook is facing criticism over shooting video

Facebook is facing criticism over a live video posted by one of its users, depicting his shooting of 74-year-old man. Critics point at the long time it took for the video to be removed, as well as the ways in which such videos encourage others to conduct similar acts. Although Facebook is generally reluctant to overly arbitrate what is posted on its site, the company wrote in a statement that it is exploring new ways to ensure a safe environment on Facebook, including through artificial intelligence and by improving its review processes.
