Dr Harpreet Sood, lead of an UK National Health Service (NHS) anti-disinformation campaign, expressed there was big concern regarding the effect of fake news about the COVID-19 vaccine on ethnic minority communities in the UK. Disinformation campaigns include false claims stating that the vaccines contain particular animal produce or alcohol, which are often incompatible with religious norms. Dr Harpreet Sood explained the vaccine 'has been accepted and endorsed by all the religious leaders and councils and faith communities'. He also mentioned they are working directly with influencers and community leaders to get the message across.
