Ghana's financial regulator- the Bank of Ghana has ordered payment firm Dash App to cease operation for carrying out unlicensed operations such as cross border payments, wallet creations and bill/utility payments. Dash has been operating in Ghana since 2019. Its business focus was a payment platform aggregator, leveraging on mobile payment platforms in Africa. The app had already aggregated over 200 payment services into a single wallet, according to an article by Techweez.
