Google has selected 11 startups for its startups accelerator on SDGs. The aim of the initiative is to facilitate the development of technology that could provide a response to global challenges outlined in 2030 Agenda.
Out of the 11 startups, two -Flare and mDoc are from Africa. Flare is a Kenyan enterprise that provides software infrastructure and operational support for medical emergency response services in Sub-Saharan Africa while mDoc, a Nigerian company, relies on digital platforms in order to extend support to individuals living with chronic disease.
