US Rep. Ro Khana (D-CA) whose district includes Silicon Valley, has introduced the Internet Bill of Rights which would restore net neutrality rules and require an opt-in for the use of personal data. The document has been drafted with inputs from, among others, Apple, Google, and Facebook, and is an attempt to move forward legislation to regulate tech giants in the US.
