According to ITPro, London's The Ritz Hotel is investigating a data breach that may have 'potentially compromised' the personal data of its visitors. Criminals pretending to be hotel employees obtained an unknown amount of restaurant guests' personal data on 12 August. They then allegedly called guests asking them to share their bank details. The BBC reports The Ritz is investigating a 'potential data breach' and said it had alerted the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
