37 cross party MPs in UK have urged the government to increase funding for children's helplines to address online and offline child sexual abuse during the Coronavirus pandemic. ChildLine and the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) have both reported a surge in calls; and law enforcement have issued warnings that online child abuse cases may be on the rise. Increased collaboration with Europol has also been demanded by the MPs to combat international gangs involved in child sexual abuse.
