The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) reports that a new study of 10 data brokers conducted at Duke University has shown how these companies advertise sensitive data on U.S. individuals, including military personnel. It is seen as potentially undermining national security, as the data includes sensitive information such as military personnel's political preferences and real-time GPS locations.
