At the Regional Youth Conference in Papua and New Guinea, UNICEF released a free social messaging tool U-REPORT PNG which is aimed to empower young people to communicate freely on issues affecting them and encourage citizen-led development.
U-report relies on U Report volunteers to give feedback and report issues in their communities.
UNICEF has shared that U-Report can be used to have dialogue between young people and the government, where the youth can share their opinion and feedback freely to encourage active youth citizenship.
U-Report currently has 6 channels, 22 million U- reporters and runs in 7 countries.
