A security vulnerability in the Parity multi-signature Ethereum wallets froze around 500 000 units of the Ether cryptocurrency. Parity Technologies, the company behind the Parity wallets, stated that this occurred due to the accidental global execution of a bug. This bug locked more than USD150 million in the Ethereum cryptocurrency. The funds in all the wallets created after 20 July 2017 have been locked.
