Finnish investigative reporter Jessikka Aro's International Women of Courage Award was rescinded, allegedly because of her criticism of US President Trump on social media. Aro was notified of the award for her achievements as a journalist on 12th February and later retracted due to a 'regrettable error'. Sarah Howard reports that 'an anonymous State Department official told Foreign Policy the agency cancelled Ms Aro's award because she frequently condemned the president on Twitter for his bigoted rhetoric and attacks on the press'.
