Digital natives believe what they read online, report finds

In its 'Children and Parents: Media and Attitudes report 2015', Ofcom has found that children, despite being 'digital natives', do not always question what they read online. Almost one in ten children between the ages of 8 and 15 believe that 'information from social media websites or apps is 'all true", a percentage that has doubled compared to last year. According to James Tickett, Ofcom's Director of Research, 'the Internet allows children to learn, discover different points of view and stay connected with friends and family. But these digital natives still need help to develop the know-how they need to navigate the online world'.
