In the aftermath of the attempted coup, the Internet in Turkey continues to face restrictions. Today, WikiLeaks leaked thousands of emails from Erdogan's AK Party, leading to the shutdown of the website in Turkey. According to Peter Micek from Access Now, 'Turkey blocks and throttles social media wholesale when accurate information is needed most -after terror attacks, during corruption scandals, and now, apparently, military coups'. The Guardian reports, however, that it is unlikely that the Internet has fully been censored; rather, traffick seems to be interrupted or slowed down for intermittent periods of times on targeted websites.
