Google's X wireless technology to be used in remote areas of Indian Telangana state

The Indian state of Telanganaannounced it intends to use Free Space Optical Communications (FSOC) technology of Google X to provide internet access to Internet in remote areas of the state where the government could not lay fiber optic cables. State officials discussed the proposal with the Vice President of Google X on the sidelines of the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) 2018.
