Indonesia has passed new legislation allowing people to seek a court order for a so-called 'right to be forgotten'. Indonesia's version of this right is said to 'go beyond European-style rules covering search results', as it requires web administrators to remove the actual content. The rule is only intended for people who are acquitted in court cases and want to clear their names. Critics worry that the law will be used as a censorship tool. The country is the first in Asia to adopt such a rule.
