Russia temporarily blocked access to Google

Russiaclosed down Google for several hours. According to Russian officials, Google redirected Internet users to a website that as blocked as part of an ongoing tax dispute. Access to Google was restored after the company removed the banned link. Tensions between Russia and Google might be rising with the authorities' recent approval of the 'Google Tax Law', which requires foreign companies to pay value-added tax on the sale of online content.
