US Senators Mark Warner and Tom Cotton introduced the American Telecommunications Security Act to ban federal funding from the American Rescue Plan Act from being used to purchase Chinese telecommunications equipment, including from Huawei and ZTE. Warner said the bill is to make sure no community across the country is sacrificing network security while developing their plans for quality and affordable high-speed internet.
