YouTube suspended far-right news outlet One America News Network (OAN) for violating its policy on misinformation. OAN had posted a video with steps for a 'guaranteed cure for COVID-19'. YouTube removed the video and issued a strike against the channel, as part of its three-strike policy. OAN will not be permitted to upload new videos of live streams for a period of one week. Additionally, in the weeks after the US elections, OAN has posted content challenging the integrity of the elections. YouTube restricted advertising for some of the channel's videos for undermining confidence in the elections with demonstrably false information.
