The French online Apple Store is currently displaying the reparability scores of iPhones and MacBooks to comply with a new French law designed to reduce waste. The scores consider aspects such as the availability of repair manuals, spare parts, and how easily a gadget can be disassembled. The French government's goal is to increase the reparability of devices by 20% within 5 years. Companies will face fines for failing to comply with the new legislation by 2022.
