Social media gets a lot of attention for abuse and bullying, but is also a source of support for empowerment. The recent New Yorker Magazine cover illustration is being replicated on social media with look-alike group selfies of women surgeons. The illustration by the French artist Malika Favre shows the operating theatre from the perspective of a patient.
